Takeaway was a song I wrote about food and relationships, why get takeout when you got home cooked food at home? I remember hearing a lyric that said something along those lines, which inspired the idea. In the song I’m a man going about his business in the city, I draw the parallel between the temptation of getting takeaway food and the temptation of women when you are in a relationship. It was a fun song to make and sampled a ‘Brenda Russell’ song, which I was surprised to find no one had already used.
